Strengthening Follow-Up After a Mental Health Crisis
Partners For Kids recognizes Coshocton Behavioral Health Choices (CBHC) for their commitment to improving follow‑up care after pediatric mental health crises. Through a 2024 quality improvement project, CBHC partnered with Partners For Kids to increase follow‑up after emergency department visits by leveraging CliniSync real‑time alerts and implementing proactive outreach to families. By integrating this system into daily workflows and pairing it with a manual tracking tool, the team strengthened care
coordination, improved data reliability and ensured timely, intentional follow‑up during periods of heightened need.
This promising practice highlights how quality improvement efforts can enhance client safety and long‑term engagement in care.

Pharmacy and Prescribing Updates: |
|
|
Over-the-Counter Preferred Drug List for Ohio Medicaid Plans
If you receive a prior authorization for an over-the-counter medication, use this list to search for the prescribed medication, and share which National Drug Codes are covered with the pharmacy. The pharmacy will reprocess the prescription and receive a paid claim. Prior authorizations will be avoided, and your patient will receive the medication sooner.
