Puget Sound's Marketing & Communications and Enrollment Marketing offices were recently honored by the Collegiate Advertising Awards. Puget Sound won five awards for communications to prospective students, the campus community, and alumni, including Gold Awards for the "This Is the Sound" Admissions materials and for a Halloween-themed twist on our mascot, Grizz, Silver Awards for The Hatchet and campus visit materials, and a Bronze Award for a video highlighting student research on the Olympic Peninsula.

The Logger women's crew team placed third at the Puget Sound Invitational on Mar. 30. The Loggers were rowing against two Division I teams, University of Portland and Seattle University and finished less than four seconds behind second place. The crew team is coming off their second consecutive Lamberth Cup win earlier in the month.

In his role as president of Northern Marianas College, Galvin Guerrero '96 was announced in March as the recipient of the 2024 Chief Executive Award by the board of Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education (APAHE). The awards ceremony took place at APAHE's annual conference on April 5 in Oakland, California.

The School of Music presented Into the Woods at Schneebeck Concert Hall this weekend. The Tony Award-winning musical combines elements and characters from several fairy tales, including Jack & the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and others.
