A Musical Milestone

Last weekend, the Adelphian Concert Choir brought current students and alumni together for a gala performance in celebration of its 90th anniversary. Since 1932, the Adelphians have consistently been recognized as one of the Northwest's most acclaimed ensembles, with high standards for repertoire, interpretation, and musicianship. In addition to wowing local audiences for generations, the choir has received accolades from audiences in Canada, Europe, and up and down the West Coast, as well as from numerous conference appearances.

Hacks & Chops

Building upon their collaboration from spring 2022, Clinical Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy Amy Kashiwa and Iris Nosek '22 presented a poster at the Washington Occupational Therapy Association's annual conference in early October. The poster, titled "Countering Ableism in Sex Education: Neurodivergent Recommendations for Occupational Therapy Practitioners," was born out of a psychology practicum course in which Kashiwa mentored Nosek. It's just one example of the many interdisciplinary, graduate-undergraduate partnerships here at Puget Sound.

Happy Halloween, Loggers!

Loggers let their inner ghosts and ghouls loose last week in a pumpkin-painting contest hosted by Student Involvement and Programs. The contestant pumpkins spent a week on display in Wheelock Student Center, and the campus community was invited to vote for their favorites. The pumpkin painted by Naomi Norton ’26 (pictured, center) took top prize. Second and third place winners were Bella Sanchez ’25 and Emma Grace ’26, respectively. Congrats to all the Hallo-winners!
