Shepherd Consortium on Poverty Summer Internship
|
|
|
|
Through the Shepherd program, students with an academic grounding in poverty have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of poverty, including its definitions, causes, and potential solutions, all while working full-time with a community partner engaged in anti-poverty work. Stipend, housing, and funding for travel provided.
Application deadline: Monday, Feb. 5

First-year students: McNeill Common Good Fellowships
|
|
|
These paid, three-year fellowships bring students into an interdisciplinary community of scholars eager to live an ethical life of meaning, purpose, and impact. Benefits include an annual stipend, plus funding for a summer fellowship following sophomore year, research funding for the summer after junior and/or senior year, and more.

Center for Social Concerns Summer Labor Fellowships
|
|
|
|
First-year students, sophomores, and juniors can apply for these full-time, paid opportunities to spend the summer engaged in labor-focused, project-based work while developing skills in organizing, research, advocacy, and communications.
Positions available with organizations in Chicago and Washington, DC.

Evicted will deliver the 2024 Poverty Studies Distinguished Lecture. Free and open to all. Reception to follow.
