Recognizing international students' achievement for Fall 2021!
Miami’s 1,600+ international students from more than 60 countries have made many outstanding contributions to our campus and community. Kudos to everyone’s achievements this semester. Here are a few we would like to highlight:
Congratulations to the International Education Week writing contest winner Angel Luo for her piece Open Doors winning a first place award and to Pankaj Nath Joy who won first place for his photograph titled “Lost in Between Past and Present” (pictured above) in the Photo Contest. Check out their submissions.
Congratulations to Charles Xie, who earned an "honorable mention" in the Howe Writing Center Fall Writing Contest! You can read his flash fiction, "Travelers" on the HWC website.
Congratulations to Bhisma Adhikari, who was part of the group that presented "Simulink Model Transformation for Backwards Version Compatibility" at the 15th International Workshop on Models and Evolution (ME) in October of 2021.
Congratulations to Natalie Nguyen who received the Provost Student Academic Achievement Award.
Congratulations to Claudia Negrete Garcia, Noor Breedijk, Imke Breedijk, Luli Rosso, Madison Workman, Berta Mata, Paul Peña, and Lily Petersen, who were all part of this year’s MAC championship Miami field hockey team that also hosted Miami’s first ever NCAA tournament game.
