Our Guiding Purpose: We are guided by the academic success of all students. Ultimately, the measures of our success are improvements in students’ persistence, achievement, and graduation rates—particularly students who are the first in their families to go to college and those from groups historically under‐served in higher education.

Grading vs. Learning: What to do when traditional grading structures interfere with learning
|
We will find out what puzzles you face when considering adopting an alternative grading scheme, from the scale of the individual assignment to the structure of an entire course. We will share strategies that we use at Evergreen around feedback, revision, and metacognition. We will also learn from your experiences and envision how these strategies and experiences might be integrated into your own teaching.

The National Learning Communities Collaborative -- a cohort of practitioners, researchers, and organizations -- has developed a national resource directory for living-learning community, residential college, coordinated studies, and linked-course learning community programs. The directory is searchable by state, region, and institution type. We encourage faculty and practitioners of learning communities to utilize this directory for community building, resource sharing, and mutual learning.
To update an existing entry or to add your institution to this directory, please visit the
National Learning Community Directory Submission Form.
