Rediscover Southern Arizona: Visitor Center Reopens in Historic Courthouse

You’re invited to explore Southern Arizona – again! After a one year closure due to the pandemic, the Southern Arizona Heritage and Visitor Center has reopened with a limited schedule – Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – while the Center hires more staff and trains new volunteers to open seven days a week.

Penca Restaurante

Penca reopened last Thursday for dine-in and patio seating at 50 E Broadway. Penca serves a menu of traditional and modern Central Mexican Cuisine, a wide array of Mesoamerican distillates and fermentables, and comfortable service rooted in the history and culture of Tucson. Open: Wednesday-Sunday 4:30-9:30 p.m.

REILLY Craft Pizza & Drink

REILLY reopened its doors this past Tuesday after more than a year closed! Craft pizza, pasta, salads and more await you at 101 E Pennington St. REILLY Craft Pizza and Drink will be open Tuesday-Thursday 5-9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 5-10 p.m. and Sunday 5-9 p.m. (closed Mondays).

Downtown Tucson Partnership Honored with Award of Resilience

The Downtown Tucson Partnership (DTP) has been awarded the 2021 Common Ground Award of Resilience by the Metropolitan Pima Alliance (MPA) for their rapid response and outstanding work during the past pandemic year. The MPA’s annual Common Ground Awards honor community leaders and programs that have made significant contributions and found solutions to complex challenges in creative ways by promoting collaborative partnerships that find common ground.
