Event Spotlight: Duo Interpretation

In Duo Interpretation, two competitors team up to deliver a ten-minute performance of a published play or story. Competitors convey emotion and environment through a variety of performance techniques focusing on the interactions between the characters. No props or costumes are used. Performances can also include an introduction written by the students to contextualize the performance and state the title and the author.
What's unique about Duo? The biggest component of an effective Duo is the relationship between the two characters. The event uses off-stage focus.

American Legion Oratorical Contest

The American Legion Oratorical Contest presents participants with an academic speaking challenge that develops deeper knowledge of the U.S. Constitution and the responsibilities, rights, and privileges of American citizenship.
