Rick Dickson (B.S. '77) has been named interim president of UTulsa. Deeply committed to the university, Dickson served as vice president and director of athletics twice, for four years in the early 1990s and again from 2020-2024.

The Dean Scene

UTulsa has a new provost: Jennifer Airey, who most recently served as dean of the Graduate School. A new dean of Collins College of Business and interim dean of the College of Law have also been announced. Learn more about UTulsa leadership announcements. 

Summer of Science

The National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates program provides students with a chance to conduct research at another university. This summer, several UTulsa students will do just that.

An Eye for AI

The world of AI is rapidly evolving, and The University of Tulsa is not falling behind. Collaborating with Hurricane Ventures, two new start-up investments have been announced: CubeNexus and Lyceum AI.

That's what sold the Kansas City native on The University of Tulsa. At UTulsa, you can continue to play your instrument throughout your college career, even if music isn't your major. In addition to playing the cello in the Symphony Orchestra, McFarland is the president of his fraternity, and he created a martial arts club on campus.
