Dr. Paul Blessing is presently instructing the emergency medicine clerkship for 4th-year medical students at the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda. In this hands-on experience, they evaluate patients with intricate medical conditions and explore crucial elements of emergency care. The clerkship, conducted over an 8-week period, is jointly led by Rwandan emergency physicians and residents. On January 26th, they will celebrate the graduation of their inaugural cohort of Rwandan physicians, a group he had the privilege of teaching two years ago!
