Message From Fritz

Dear Folsom Lake Soccer Community,

These are historic times for the world and our country as we grapple with a global pandemic and social issues that have us debating American identity. I would like to put all of that aside to acknowledge the many children in our community who were not able to be recognized for achievements or celebrated for reaching Important milestones. So here’s to them.

Here’s to the many high school graduates who didn’t get to “walk” - a special moment that we all remember with such fondness. Here’s to the pre-schoolers and middle schoolers who are moving on to “the big school.” Here’s to all who advanced levels in dance classes, language schools and music programs. Here’s to all of the “sweet 16’s” whose celebrations were limited to just a dinner at home with mom, dad and a brother or sister.

While I could go on and on adding to this list, I am hopeful my point is a clear one. As things start to open up, let’s really make it a point to celebrate our children and do our best to make up for everything they lost. Let’s remember how Important little moments like sitting around with teammates can be. Let’s make this season a positive one and remember it’s all about the children. Let’s make it happen!

Dr. Shea - Safety Officer

My name is Mike Shea. I am very excited to be able to serve as the Safety Officer for the Folsom Surf organization. I am originally from San Jose, an did my residency in Pittsburgh, PA and my fellowship in Erie, PA. I have been practicing Sports Medicine since 2002 when I moved back to Sacramento. My family has lived in Folsom for the past 8 years, and I currently practice in the orthopedic department at Mercy Medical Group.
I played both baseball and soccer competitively thru college. Since
becoming a dad I have enjoyed the other side of athletics coaching my
boys in both soccer and baseball. I hope to use my experiences to add
insight and help guide the Board in decision making regarding the health
and safety of our players.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with questions or insights of your
own.

The Hub

The Hub
Grab your boots!  The Hub, formerly known as the10 Soccer School, is getting ready to re-open its doors after a long 3 month break due to the Coronavirus.  The indoor soccer facility in El Dorado Hills has been helping players get better for a few years now and if you haven't been there yet you should definitely check it out.  The Hub offers weekly skills classes, specialty clinics and camps for kids of all ages (5-18) and all skill levels.  We also rent the space for birthday parties, team training sessions, and we have a lounge for classroom sessions.  The Hub is affiliated with the Folsom Lake Surf Soccer Club, but our programs are open to all players regardless of their club affiliation.  You can look up our summer schedule here.

If you would like more information about The Hub please reach out to Nate Northup.
