Seton Hall University is hosting events centered around the celebration of our graduate students as part of the National Graduate Student Appreciation Week. This year’s inaugural appreciation week takes place from April 2 through April 5, 2024.
|
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Charter Day celebrates the founding of Seton Hall in 1856 and the granting of our charter by the New Jersey State legislature in 1861. It is a special annual opportunity to reflect on our history and purpose, our Catholic identity and mission. Seton Hall University’s annual Charter Day celebration will take place on April 9 at 3 p.m. in the Event Room of the University Center.

| Edmund Phelps Lecture and Book Signing (April 4, Bethany A)
The Office of the President and the Office of the Provost are delighted to extend a special invitation to the Seton Hall University community for an exclusive book signing and lecture featuring renowned economist and Nobel laureate, Professor Edmund Phelps.

This is one of holiest night of the year for Muslims and falls within Ramadan’s final 10 days. On this night, a single act of kindness gives the blessings of 1,000 months. This night is observed with prayer and devotional readings of the Quran.

- April 9 (at sundown): Eid-al-Fitr
- This night marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.

Spring Wreath Workshop
On April 3, learn to create a unique Spring wreath, made with seasonal blooms and fragrant foliage at Wildly Floral’s South Orange Shop. No experience necessary, all materials will be provided.

Oleta Adams
Grammy nominated Oleta Adams will be performing at SOPAC on April 5.

Community Volunteer Fair
Find ways to match your interests and skills with some of the organizations doing great things in our community. This event will take place on April 7 at The Woodland in Maplewood.

Newark First Fridays 2024: With All Due Respect
Each month, Newark First Fridays showcases emerging artists, makers, artisan food vendors, musicians, and uniquely talented street performers. This will take place April 5 at Express Newark.
