As the year draws to an end, we look forward to sparkling decorations, colorful lights, a variety of cultural food dishes, jolly music, and the spirit of giving.
Every year, around the world, people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day, December 25 or January 7 for our Eastern Orthodox friends. It's a day – and season – filled with carols, tree decorating, gift-giving, and parties. Christmas is also an opportunity to pause and give thanks for the love, hope, and joy found in Jesus – our Savior and friend. As people exchange gifts with loved ones, it is out of remembrance of the gift God gave, which is that we are loved, are never alone, and can have hope for the future.
December is a month filled with an abundance of religious and cultural diversity. Whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa, Christmas, or another holiday, we wish you a special and joyous time with family, friends, and loved ones.
