May is Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. The 2026 theme is "Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together."
|
Deaf Awareness Week is May 4 through May 10 to increase public awareness about the issues affecting deaf people and deaf culture. Deaf Awareness Week also aims to bring attention to the isolation that deaf people can occasionally experience and heightens the importance of inclusion in the deaf community.

‘For All, Forever’ Campaign Town Hall - May 11
Join University Advancement for a town hall event focused on “For All, Forever: A Campaign for a Greater Seton Hall.” The discussion will include information that will be helpful to the campus community including the background, progress and ways you can get involved in the campaign.

AAPI Celebration & Potluck on May 17 at The Baird Gym in South orange. Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month with a Potluck at The Baird Community Center in South Orange.

The South Orange Rescue Squad 5K happens May 31. Run or walk the 5k (or a shorter 1.3 mile route) and then join kids and adults alike to tour ambulances, equipment and headquarters and learn about EMS in South Orange and Maplewood. Seton Hall is a proud sponsor of this event as part of our partnership with the Campus Belonging and Community Committee and South Orange Rescue Squad.

May 12-18 Is the Haitian Cultural Festival in Mercer County. A 7-day event featuring a "Cultural Explosion" with artists, vendors, and workshops.
