FRIENDLY REMINDER: FY 2017-18 close-out coming soon
With the end of the fiscal year just around the corner, we wanted to remind you of the following salary reporting deadlines:
By July 15, 2018
- All salary files through June 2018 are due from employers who report TRSL contributions. This year, July 15 falls on a Sunday, so if possible we are requesting that June salary files be submitted by Friday, July 13, 2018.
By July 18, 2018
- All contribution exceptions must be cleared.
- All online contribution corrections must be processed.
After July 18, and in order for TRSL to close on-time, employers will not have online access to EMIS to make contribution corrections. If contributions corrections are not performed by the July 18 deadline, TRSL will be required to back-out salaries for all records with outstanding exceptions on your contribution exception reports. To pull your contribution exception reports, please refer to Index 4.0 (Page 44) of the Employer Procedures Manual.
Submit corrections before the deadline to avoid interest
Online contribution corrections submitted after July 18, 2018, will require an online Prior Year Correction of Earnings and Contributions, which may be subject to interest charges.
All online processes to include Prior Year and Full-Time Only Corrections will be available for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 after close-out and the Account History posting process is complete. We will email you when the online processes are available.
