Working together as a community, we have been developing and refining CSU's next strategic plan over the past six months. Our goal has been to design a set of priorities that would guide programs and initiatives starting in 2025 and through 2030. Throughout the fall, the Strategic Planning Task Force and I have held numerous information sessions to update you on elements of the emerging plan, and we have collected and reviewed hundreds of feedback submissions from students, faculty, staff members, alumni and community partners. Your input had a substantial impact on the final design of the plan.
Our aim from the outset was to craft a series of strategic statements, focused priorities and key performance metrics from which colleges and divisions could then establish their own, related goals. As planned, we submitted this completed strategic framework to the CSU Board of Trustees for their review at their November meeting, which was held earlier today. I am pleased to inform you that the members of the Board of Trustees approved CSU's updated mission, vision and values statements. In addition, they voted unanimously to endorse our first set of priorities and our strategic direction for the next five years.

We will hold a Cleveland State United launch event in January 2025, after the start of the spring semester to share further detail on this new plan and the metrics we will monitor to track our progress.
