Chanukah is a reminder to rededicate ourselves to spread light into areas of darkness. It is a time that tells us to stand up for ourselves and our beliefs and traditions. It is a time to be proud of who we are. It is also a time to support those who may be marginalized or persecuted for who they are. Now is the time to show future generations that hate and intolerance are not acceptable ways to respond to people's differences.
Whether our differences are physical, mental, political, religious, gender, orientation, age, sex, or ethnicity, we need to stand together as a community and work for justice and peace.
Chanukah is a time to rekindle the faith within each of us that even a single spark of light can illuminate the path to hope.
And yes, it is also a time to eat lots of latkes.
On behalf of myself and the rest of the district board, we wish you a joyous Chanukah and a Happy Secular New Year!
- Alissa Woska, VP of Communications

A Gift for You for Chanukah |
We are now using Mighty Networks as a hub for communicating with you about things going on around the district.
|

|
- An easy way to look at all the upcoming district events at once.
- A good place to find other district members and share ideas or ask questions.
- Files and information to help you learn more about the district and recordings of important Zoom meetings you may have missed. (We are still building up this section)
-
It is fairly user friendly. If you need additional help to use it, attend MN Office Hours. Plus, we will be sharing a video next month on using MN.
- It is a safe place to talk about Jewish things - only members can see what you post or share.
- Simplify one part of your life.
- It is FREE to join!
