Learning from OD Veterans

On Sunday morning, I arrived at the Dick Beckhard Mentoring Program for New Attendees. I brought with me the stress of being up since 2:30 in the morning caring for my 4-month old daughter, traveling to Chicago, encountering a feisty taxi driver, and being a little nervous about meeting new people. Then Frances Baldwin spoke, sharing her history and passion for OD, and I was transported to a different mental space.

The OD Network Practitioner Self-Assessment
More than a third of conference participants tried out the beta version of OD Practitioner Self-Assessment. Most Assessment participants provided feedback which has already been incorporated into the final version. The Assessment will link to capacity building resources for improving skills and abilities for each area of the Global OD Practice Framework™.
We are excited to offer this as a member benefit when you renew your membership in 2018. More information will be shared in the coming weeks!
ODEA 2.0
This year's Organization Development Education Association (ODEA) meeting at the ODN conference (ODEA@ODN) was attended by faculty, scholars, practitioners, students and alumni. The meeting was infused with new energy and idea-exchange about the current and future state of the ODEA. We convened perspectives on a revised ODEA charter, the current and future state of ODEA, and plans to continue to position ODEA as a multi-stakeholder network advancing education in the field of OD&C.
