A newly published paper entitled, “Growing Community Resilience from the Grassroots: Risk Awareness, Confidence in Institutions, and Civic Participation in a Natural Hazards Context” co-authored by two ISTPP Fellows and ISTPP Director and PSAA Professor Arnold Vedlitz in Natural Hazards Review and ASCE journal, has been featured on the ASCE Civil Engineering Source site.
- Ph.D. student Samantha Zuhlke's dissertation won ARNOVA’s (Association for Research on Nonprofit and Voluntary Action) Outstanding Dissertation in Nonprofit and Voluntary Action Research Award.

Professor Huang and Professor Tabaar's article entitled, "How Religious are Religious Conflicts" has been published in the International Studies Review.

On July 20th, Dr. Angela Seaworth presented a paper “Sustaining Impact: Financial Sustainability of Nonprofit Academic Centers” at the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council’s biennial conference. Seaworth and her research partners at Auburn University, Dr. Peter Weber and Brittany Branyon, identified factors that sustain nonprofit academic centers and proposed a new sustainability framework in the context of a field that has reached a degree of academic recognition and stability over the past two decades.
- Dr. Angela Seaworth was a keynote speaker for the Association of Philanthropic Counsel’s Summer Forum in Fort Worth. She addressed Contemporary Issues in Fundraising and how to guide organizations through an ever-changing nonprofit ecosystem.
