Let’s Talk About our Library’s Future |
Dear Library Friends,
I want to be honest with you about where we are as a library community. For years, we’ve stretched every dollar to bring you the books, programs, and services you love. But the truth is, we haven’t been locally funded at a sustainable level for many years.
We’ve worked hard to shield our community from the impact, but rising costs, uncertainty about future funding, and necessary repairs to our aging building have caught up with us.
This has forced us to make difficult choices. We have paused Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service for the foreseeable future. We canceled one adult program as well. We don’t want to see more cuts — and with your help, we won’t have to.
If you value what your library brings to our town, I’m asking you to stand with us.
Your immediate and ongoing support and advocacy can help change this. Our Annual Campaign is ongoing right now! Your gift, no matter the size, helps protect the programs and services that make our library a cornerstone of the community.
You can give at bradfordlibrary.org or stop in to donate in person. Together, we can keep our library strong — not just for today, but for years to come.
With gratitude,
Rebecca Feightner, MSLS
Executive Director
Bradford Area Public Library
