The annual University food drive is here! You can drop off food donations at the College of Social and Behavioral Science Dean's Office (Gardner Commons Suite 3725) or at the Feed U Pantry, which is located in the basement level of the Union building. Monetary donations can be made by visiting the UGive Food Pantry Donations Page.

Indigenous Peoples' Day
Salt Lake City has issued a joint resolution recognizing the second Monday in October as Indigenous Peoples’ Day. On Monday, October 12, Student Affairs is organizing a panel discussion from 12:00-1:30pm. There will also be a display of photographs in the Union next week!

Fall 2020 Learning Abroad Fair- Utah Asia Campus

Hear from two students who studied psychology at our campus in Songdo, South Korea. Main campus students pay resident tuition and live in very affordable on-campus housing. As a participant, you will not only have convenient access to the University of Utah’s amazing faculty, staff, and academic culture, but you will also interact with students from all over the world. Class sizes are small and all courses are taught in English. Traveling to Seoul from the UAC is made easy due to the excellent public transportation system the area provides.

Over the past few decades, China has developed an increasingly dominant role in global trade and politics.
On October 15th, Dr. Zack Cooper, an expert on U.S.-China relations, a research fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and a lecturer at Princeton and Georgetown universities, will be presenting his views on how China is impacting human rights, intellectual property, and democracy around the world.
The event will be hosted by the University of Utah's chapter of the Alexander Hamilton Society.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) Deadline
The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) provides undergraduate students and mentors the opportunity to work together on research or creative projects. UROP provides a $1,200 stipend and educational programming for students who assist with a faculty member’s research or creative project or who carry out a project of their own under the supervision of a faculty member. The deadline to apply is Friday, November 6!

National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)
The Office of Undergraduate Research is excited to announce a national presentation opportunity for all undergraduate researchers! The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) will be held virtually April 12-14, 2021.
The OUR will pay the registration fee for a limited number of students. If you can confirm your availability to attend this event virtually, submit your abstract by Nov. 1, 2020 and are accepted. You can also request funding here!
