Join us for an Educational Event on cIMPACT-NOW: advancing the molecular classification of ependymal tumors

National Brain Tumor Society and the CERN Foundation are hosting a virtual educational event on the new ependymoma molecular classification updates released in the cIMPACT now update 7 publication on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 12pm. Dr. David Ellison, Chair of Pathology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Dr. Mark Gilbert, Chief of the Neuro Oncology Branch at the National Institutes of Health, will be interviewed by Kim Wallgren to help educate patients and care partners on how molecular classification is done, why it is important to the community, and explaining the recent updates involving ependymoma. If you would like to pre-register for the virtual event and receive emails regarding the event, email us at administrator@cern-foundation.org.

CERN Inspiration Story

During a family trip, Jill knew something was seriously wrong when she started experiencing multiple different neurological symptoms that included shooting pain throughout her upper body. Multiple trips to the ER finally revealed a soft tissue mass in her spinal chord that was believed to be the culprit of the symptoms she was experiencing. Jill offers encouraging advice about pressing forward during obstacles and the power of connecting with others.
