Center for Student Support
|
The Center for Student Support connects students to resources to help them thrive at Puget Sound. CSS houses Direct Student Services, including the Campus Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, and Lending Library; programs to support survivors of sexual violence and provide educational programming including the Peer Allies and the BRAVe programs; and our student success coaches, who help first-year and transfer students navigate life on campus. CSS also takes a lead role in supporting our first-generation college students through community-building and mentorship.
Our staff are here to discuss any ongoing challenges students are experiencing and help create action plans for coordinated support across campus, as well as the development of self-care and self-advocacy habits. Parents and families can support our work by encouraging their students to seek out support if they need it and to respond to any outreach they receive from Eric Hetland, Sonya Dauncey, or any member of the CSS team if they've been referred to our office. You can also support Loggers experiencing financial instability and/or food insecurity by making a donation of clothing, shelf-stable foods, or textbooks to our Clothing Closet, Food Pantry, or Lending Library.
Thank you for partnering with us to champion the success of our students!

Monitoring California Wildfires
|
We are watching closely as wildfires continue to devastate parts of Los Angeles and Riverside Counties. As we mourn the loss of life and the destruction of homes and livelihoods, we hope Loggers and their families in the affected areas are safe. We have reached out to students who may be affected and encourage students to contact the university if they need assistance.
