Connie Baird, a 1974 alumna of Puget Sound, was honored for her dedication to the university. Baird has held various roles at Puget Sound, transitioning from student to staff. Her time as a student was filled with unique experiences, including a carpentry Winterim class and a piano class that influenced her future in music ministry. Baird returned to the university in 2010 and has been a valuable asset to the Religion, Spirituality & Society; Bioethics; and Crime, Law & Justice departments ever since.

Alumna Anna Rothstein '17, a 2024 Knauss fellow, brings a unique journey to coral reef conservation, starting from her high school SCUBA Club in Minnesota to conducting research in various marine environments. Her passion for understanding coral reef ecosystems led her to the Knauss fellowship, where she now contributes to federal coral reef conservation, management, and policy development. Rothstein's role involves supporting the U.S. Coral Reef Task Force, planning meetings, creating resources for coral emergencies, and engaging in international initiatives like the International Coral Reef Initiative. She also manages communications for the Watershed working group, aiming to amplify coral reef conservation efforts through social media.

Puget Sound Lacrosse celebrates Cat Schilli's impressive sophomore season! Schilli earned All-Northwest Conference honors, leading the Loggers in both goals (49) and ground balls (41). Her offensive prowess and defensive awareness make her a valuable player on both ends of the field.

Wondering what's open on campus during summer? Here's the scoop on your campus store and eatery options! The Logger Store will be open weekdays throughout the summer, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Diner is also open weekdays, serving breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please note their hours may be extended during conferences. Finally, get your caffeine fix at Diversions Cafe on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
