Finding Beauty Everywhere He Looks
|
The photography of Doug Landreth ’73 may include all manner of flora and fauna, but he is more than a nature photographer. Whether photographing the blossom on an artichoke plant or a blurred image of a Mexican matador, he employs multiple digitally composited images, laced with textural overlays and backgrounds, to create visual statements that can be bold, foreboding, or sublime.

Tanya Erzen, professor of religion, spirituality, and society, was recently featured in the San Francisco Chronicle in a story about a case before the U.S. Supreme Court examining the constitutionality of religious conversion therapy. Erzen discussed the history of ex-gay ministries in California, which she researched for her 2006 book, Straight to Jesus.

The Logger Men's Golf team wrapped up its fall season at the Confluence Classic, where they broke the school record for lowest one-round team score. Cade Streeter ’27, Andrew Spitzer ’26, and Jack Kuntz ’26 all scored under par for an overall second-place finish.

Registration for the Spring 2026 semester begins Friday, Oct. 31. This will be the first time students will use the university's new online course catalog. Students can filter courses by department, core requirements, or interdisciplinary program, and also combine filters to find courses meeting several criteria, with section times displayed alongside descriptions.

Autumn may be our favorite season. The changing colors of the leaves on campus will reach their peak this week.
