Dean's Den: A Deeper Dive into Recent Executive Orders Designed to End Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The Dean's Den series on President Trump's early actions continues with Professors Kaipo Matsumura and Kimberly West-Faulcon. Hosted by Dean Brie Clark, the conversation will take a deeper dive into executive orders and other actions that implicate anti-discrimination protections: from orders seeking to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts broadly to orders specifically seeking to reverse or redefine existing law in the area of racial and gender equality. We will consider the potential impact of these actions in light of the constitutional and statutory foundations that determine the scope and limits of federal agency power in these areas.
The conversation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, 12-1 p.m. PT in Merrifield Hall on the LMU Loyola Law School campus with a virtual option. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by Friday, March 14. (Friday's LLSTW Express provided an inaccurate room location. Merrifield Hall, as stated her and on the RSVP form, is the correct room location.)
