What is School Strength? 

The number of entries a school can bring to the district tournament is limited based upon the school’s overall strength. A school’s total strength is equal to the top 3 active, paid coach degrees plus ALL the active, paid student degrees. Only members with an email address attached to their account can contribute to a school’s strength, so make sure your members provide an email address! A student can enter their own email address when they sign up for an account, or an advisor or coach with permissions can add it when creating an account from the student roster. You can view your school's strength on your Account page. To determine your alloted entries based on your strength, see the chart on page 63 of the High School Unified Manual

Alumni Newsletter Updates 

Alumni from your program can keep in touch with the speech and debate world by signing up for one of our two alumni lists! Subscribers receive quarterly information about National Tournament results, livestreams, special events, and more. 

Submit Rule Change Suggestions

You can submit suggestions for any rule additions, deletions, or changes to the Rules Revision and Evaluation Committee by completing the Proposed Rule Change Submission Form.

Recognize Achievement with NSDA Honor Cords

As members of the Honor Society, your students are eligible to wear National Speech & Debate Association honor cords at induction or graduation ceremonies to indicate their membership in the Honorary and to recognize their accomplishment.
