  • If you’re looking for a great place to study, visit some of the best locations around campus.
  • Return your rented textbooks from the UNT Barnes & Noble bookstore or Voertman’s by Friday, May 10.
  • Final grades and academic standing will be posted on your official transcript by 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 15.
  • Don’t forget to attend Scrappy’s Finals Countdown events through the end of this week!

   AAPI HERITAGE MONTH
Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, also known as Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Month, is nationally celebrated in May to honor those of Asian and Pacific Islander descent who have contributed to history, culture and society.
This year's theme, “Advancing Leaders Through Innovation,” pays tribute to past and current trailblazers who have shaped AAPI history. Read how UNT students are celebrating and sharing their culture ahead of this heritage month.

   MONTHLY MOTIVATION
“Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work one finishes nothing. The prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it.”

   STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
If you’re a continuing student looking for more scholarship opportunities, take time to start researching prestigious nationally competitive scholarships this summer, as some may require endorsement by UNT’s internal nominations committee.

   UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
Speaking of funding, undergrad students may earn a $500 award by applying for the UNT Undergraduate Research Fellowship. The deadline to apply for a 2024-25 URF placement is Thursday, June 20.
The URF does not require any prior research experience, but it does require a brief statement (written by you in collaboration with your prospective professor) about the project you wish to undertake in the coming academic year. If you haven’t already, reach out to the professor you hope to work with to start planning the process.
