Fall 2021 Experiential Learning Fair Starts Today!
Twice a year, the Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic hosts the Experiential Learning Fair for programs available the following semester. This week, a range of sessions will be held via Zoom to provide students with more information e about the myriad experiential-training opportunities available in spring 2021! Use the opportunity to explore the law school's unparalleled opportunities to practice lawyering skills. Featured programs include the Collateral Consequences of Conviction Justice Project, Education Policy Practicum, Employment Rights Clinic, Legal Tech & Access to Justice Practicum, Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution, Loyola Genocide Justice Clinic, Loyola Moot Court Programs, Poehls/Hobbs DA Practicum, Public Interest Field Placements, RISE Clinic, Shriver Landlord Tenant Clinic and the State Income Tax Clinic. TechTainment 7.0 to Feature Alumnus Harry Sloan '76
LLS and the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association continues the groundbreaking annual TechTainment™ program for a seventh year on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The unique conference explores the intersection of technology, entertainment and the law. This year's conference will feature a keynote chat with alumnus Harry Sloan '76 in addition to a slate of compelling panels: Hot Button Issues in the Video Gaming Industry and Digital Rights Music Management, Negotiating Talent Contracts in the Dynamic, Ever-Shifting Entertainment World. Fall 2021 Faculty Workshop Series Begins this Week
The Loyola Law School Faculty Workshop Series brings to campus leading legal scholars from across the country to present original scholarship in a colloquium setting. This week's workshop will feature a discussion of The (Potential) Legal History of Indian Gaming by Professor William Wood, Associate Professor of Law, Southwestern Law School. Professor Wood focuses his research on legal history, federal Indian law, and jurisdictional and property aspects of relationships among Indigenous polities, states and local governments, and the United States.
