September is Suicide Awareness Month, and September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day, an event focused on preventing suicide and raising awareness of mental health issues. The Great Minds Dare to Care is a university-wide collaborative suicide prevention and mental health initiative designed to foster shared responsibility for building a community of care at Seton Hall University. Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15. The 2025 theme is Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future". This theme highlights the importance of recognizing the history and achievements of Hispanic and Latine American communities, while looking ahead to their ongoing impact on shaping the future. Did You Know there are 68 million Hispanics in the United States as of July 1, 2024, making it the nation's largest racial or ethnic minority — 20% of the total population.

The Bernard J. Lonergan Institute is hosting an eight-week reading group exploring The Way to Nicea, Lonergan's short "Prolegomena" to his two-volume work, "The Triune God."

SHU Blue Wednesdays
Every Wednesday, University Center, Information Desk
Show your Pirate Pride beginning September 10! We welcome anyone wearing SHU blue or SHU apparel on Wednesdays to say hello, take a photo, and pick up a piece of candy from the University Center Information Desk. SHU Blue Days will take place on all Wednesdays when the University is open. Be sure to rep your blue. GO PIRATES!
