From Andorra to NC State: Global Lessons for Living Labs

Deputy Executive Director Christopher Galik represented the Climate and Sustainability Academy at Open Living Lab Days in Andorra, sharing NC State’s work in advancing circularity on campus and in the region through his session, “Connecting Campus and Region as a Living Lab for Industrial Symbiosis.” His reflections highlight global lessons that will help strengthen NC State’s living lab, PACKlab.

Raja Bandari
 
Today, we’re shining a light on Raja Bandari, a PhD student in the College of Design. Raja is a KIETS Climate Leaders Scholar and Sustainable Futures Fellow alum who recently presented his work at NC State’s Share Your Science Symposium. His research applies spatial data science to address sustainability challenges in urban design.

Professor, Meg Calkins chaired the American Society of Landscape Architects’ Task Force that developed the Landscape Architecture 2040: Climate & Biodiversity Action Plan, a bold roadmap to achieve zero emissions, enhance carbon sequestration, and restore biodiversity by 2040. Calkins is representing ASLA at COP30.
