Dean's Message
Hoping this newsletter finds you safe and healthy. As you are aware, we are experiencing extraordinary circumstances that have impacted all our daily lives in many ways. The impact on the College of Education and Human Services has been no different.
I am proud of how our faculty and staff have not only adjusted to the changing circumstances but have thrived. They have managed to adjust teaching styles, modify grading and adjust internships and practicums to meet their requirements remotely, all with the student’s best interests, health and safety in mind.
Thanks to the strong passion, commitment, and support of our faculty, administration and students, we have successfully transitioned to remote learning for the spring semester. We are preparing to do the same for the upcoming summer A, B and C semesters. Even though traditional on-campus commencement ceremonies will not be held this spring, we are finding new ways to congratulate our students on their accomplishments.
Amidst the uncertainty, I find it helpful to focus on the positive in our College. As we continue to focus on our commitment to designing and implementing innovative and high-impact programs, we will continue to share the good news with you here.
Although our office doors may be closed, as always, we are here to support our students and our community.
Stay well,
Diane Yendol-Hoppey
