Dear Friends of the Silverfield College,
This October, we were thrilled to co-host UNF’s Third Thursday: Silverfield Edition! The evening brought together Ospreys from every decade for a wonderful celebration of memories and connection. We were especially delighted to welcome Laine Silverfield, who joined us to meet our alumni and take part in the fun. Thank you to everyone who came out to reconnect, network and strengthen the Osprey community.
As November unfolds, excitement is already building for UNF Homecoming Week. The University has an incredible lineup of events planned for students, alumni, faculty, staff and the Jacksonville community. Silverfield College is proud to partner with the Coggin College of Business for a special Homecoming event, “Sports as an Economic Engine in Jacksonville.” This engaging panel discussion and networking breakfast will feature industry leaders as they discuss how strategic investments in sports, tourism and infrastructure drive economic growth and shape the future of our city.
We wish you a joyful and productive month ahead and look forward to all that’s to come.

| Sydney McNeill, CIRCLE Coordinator |
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Sydney moved to Jacksonville nine years ago to attend college at Jacksonville University, where she earned her B.A. in Psychology in 2020. Before joining UNF, she worked as a behavioral therapist for more than five years, supporting children and teens with developmental disabilities and building community partnerships that foster inclusion and growth.
Sydney is excited to bring her passion for connection and belonging to the UNF community. Inspired by the university’s dedication to inclusion and student engagement, she looks forward to creating opportunities for students to get involved, celebrate their achievements and feel supported.
Outside of work, Sydney enjoys trying new recipes, taking her dog to yoga at the Riverside Arts Market and listening to audiobooks.
From a dolphin to an Osprey — welcome to the team, Sydney!
