Ready Set Film! One in 24 Hour Film Race Winners Announced

On September 21, NYU Shanghai's sixth annual "One in 24" film race culminated in an awards ceremony and film screening in the auditorium. The competition, hosted by 24 Frames, NYU Shanghai's student film club, brought together 18 teams of talented filmmakers who demonstrated their skill and creativity in crafting original short films within the challenging time constraint of 24 hours.

Getting Their Hands Dirty: The Story of NYU Shanghai's Rooftop Garden

Plans are underway to transform a rooftop space into a garden laboratory of sorts. "It will provide the community with an innovative green space that can serve as a platform for research on past and future ecologies," Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies Yifei Li said.

NYU Researchers Map Anti-Asian Bias and Xenophobia at State Level

The study found that bias against Asian Americans vary widely across state lines, and is impacted by factors such as partisan tilt and the number of people of Asian descent. "These insights should guide future research and interventions to address biases effectively at the state level," said Nari Yoo, the PhD candidate who led the data-driven study.
