Now is a great time to get outside and enjoy all that downtown has to offer. Downtown Tucson Partnership's (DTP) team of Maintenance Ambassadors is working hard to clean and make downtown look extra spiffy on the streets. To that end, we have five ideas to increase your wellness and outdoor activity this spring.

We are highlighting some important City of Tucson news for residents and businesses, including a farewell to a longtime supporter and friend of downtown. There are plenty of upcoming festivals and events to enjoy the beautiful weather. Read about all this and more news below.

DTP Ambassadors Spring Cleaning

With the extra wind and rain this time of year, DTP Ambassadors are performing additional spring cleaning. We're busy removing weeds in tree grates, sidewalks and curbs. If you have a maintenance concern within the downtown Business Improvement District, report it online here or call/text 520-940-1038.

Downtown Outdoor Activities and Wellness

Here are five ways to get outside and enjoy this beautiful Tucson weather:

Haiku Hike: Take a stroll on Congress and Stone to view the 20 winning haiku in this year's Haiku Hike. This year's theme is Serenity.
Armory Park Center: The center now offers a variety of activities outdoors in Armory Park including journaling, Tai Chi, disc golf, poetry and more (fees and requirements may apply)! Save the date for the Armory Artisan Market on May 11.
Meet Me At Maynards: A free and open-to-all social walk and run in downtown every Monday evening. Plus get exclusive deals from downtown restaurants.
Music In The Courtyard: Free music in the courtyard at the Pima County Historic Courthouse, Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Health & Fitness: Explore our downtown businesses and gyms that will help you meet your health and wellness goals.

Farewell & Thank You to Steve K.

We want to send a special thank you and farewell to longtime Ward 6 City Council Member, Steve Kozachik. Steve has been a staunch supporter of DTP and Downtown Tucson over his 14 years of service. We look forward to seeing Steve in his new role with Pima County.

Comment on Proposed Parking Rate/Fee Changes

The City of Tucson Mayor and Council have given notice of intention to revise rates and fees for several departments including Park Tucson garages, parking lots and on-street commuter and student parking. Learn more and comment here.

Jam Out at the Largest Free Music Festival in Arizona

The 39th Annual Tucson Folk Fest will feature over 150 performances and 400 musicians on six stages in Downtown Tucson from April 5 - 7. This event is great for all ages and will feature regional and national musicians performing live traditional, contemporary, folk and acoustic tunes with genres related to roots music, singer-songwriter, Americana, country, blues, mariachi and rock.

Sun Corridor & Angel Charity Hosting Events at Fox

Here are two great local events happening at the Fox Tucson Theatre in April:

On April 18 from 5 - 7 p.m., Sun Corridor Inc. invites you to learn the latest on key site selection trends across the U.S. and feedback on how our region stands in the competitive landscape for business attraction and expansion. RSVP here.
ROCK THE FOX is a country music concert featuring Maddie & Tae with Walker Montgomery on April 25. Enjoy some tunes while raising money for Angel Charity for Children and its 2024 beneficiaries, including 1 million dollars that will facilitate the renovation of the new Education Center at Children's Museum Tucson.
