Donations needed for the auction

The SCA Advancement Office is hard at work preparing for our 40th annual auction & Ruby Gala on Friday March 24th at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Tacoma, just down the street from the school. This annual event is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we can't make it happen without the support and generosity of SCA families, friends and businesses around our community.

We're looking for donations of new items and experiences. Have you got some box seats you are willing to donate to a game? A timeshare, some play tickets, or even some gift cards for a night on the town gift basket?

No donation is too big or too small. Donations can be turned in between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday in the Administration building.

Tardy and absences reminder

As the new semester begins, we wanted to provide a brief reminder about the tardy and absences policy of the school. Please remember that if your student will miss a day of class to communicate that with the front office the day they are out.

Moreover, we ask that students are on time to class to limit missed class time instruction, as well as to reduce disruptions that impact their teachers and classmates.

Additionally, students with excessive tardies or absences may face disciplinary consequences. For further information regarding SCA’s tardy & absence policies, please see the “Attendance” section of the Parent & Student Handbook which is available online here.

Won't you be my valentine?

The junior class is raising money through their annual Val-o-Grams fundraiser.

You can something that special someone on campus for just $3-5.

Bag of candy: $3
Bag of candy and balloon: $5
Rose (only available for adults and secondary students): $5

Order forms will be sent home with elementary students, can be downloaded here and are available for pickup in the secondary office. Forms and payment are due in either office by Friday, Feb. 10.

BASC to host field trips for mid-winter break

Not sure what to do with your kids during mid-Winter break?

Before and After School Care (BASC) has you covered.

We will be offering full day care on Thursday, Feb. 16 and Friday, Feb. 17, as well as Tuesday, Feb. 21.

There will be a field trip on each of those days as well. Signups are limited to 12 students for the field trips. Please view the flyer here and contact BASC manager Michelle Hewitt for more information.

Class picture day is this week

LifeTouch will be coming to campus on Thursday, Feb. 9 to take class photos for pre-kindergarten through 8th grade.

Book Fair books have been ordered

The annual Scholastic Book Fair was a resounding success and 90 new books will be coming to our school library soon.

We kept 20 books from the fair and ordered 70 more.

None of this would have been possible without your support. Last year, we earned 64 new books. So, the 2022-23 book fair was even bigger and better.
