Summer Sweat It Out Challenge!
We're laying down the challenge for you to keep running over these HOT summer months... 
Run 60 miles in 60 days 
or, for those already logging a lot of miles...
Run 120 miles in 60 days 
The Challenge runs between June 1st through August 31st.
** You choose any date to begin, but once you do, your clock starts ticking and you only have 60 days to get in your miles!** 
We have private Facebook group for those participating in the challenge to keep each other motivated and on track. We will be cheering you on and offering tidbits of wisdom and running advice throughout the summer!

FAQ's
Q:  How much does this challenge cost?
This is a FREE challenge!.  Those who complete the challenge will be able to purchase optional challenge completion shirts (approx $25). 
Q: How do I track my miles?
FIT4MOM is partnered with Charity Miles, a fabulous app that allows you to raise money for the charity of your choice while you run!  We highly encourage you to use this app to record your miles!  You may use another app, such as RunKeeper, Nike+, or Mapmyrun, in addition.  If you do treadmill runs, you can take a photo of the treadmill screen at the completion of the run and save it.  If you have a Garmin watch or similar GPS watch, it will also keep/track your runs and you can upload them to a computer.  We are not requiring you to send up proof of your miles this year, we trust you! 
Q: Do I have to run?
Yes, this is a running/jogging challenge, inspired by our Running Mamas Program.  New to running?  Time is not important at all, but you do have to attempt to run or jog for most of the miles.  Working up to running a full mile or two at a time for the first few weeks is understandable, though! As long as you are attempting to run for as long as you can on each run, we will accept it! 
Q: How do I decide if the 60 in 60, or 120 in 60, is right for me?
The 60 miles in 60 days challenge is our standard Sweat it Out Challenge, and not easy to complete for most people, especially during summer months. However, if you are already logging regular weekly mileage and feel you want more of a mileage challenge, then 120 in 60 is for you.
*** Please note that we do not want anyone getting injured through this challenge-- and suddenly ramping up mileage can lead to injury!  So if you have not been running much recently, please stick with the 60 mile challenge, and remember, you can get those 60 miles in however you'd like over the 60 days, so you may want to start off with shorter runs and build up to longer runs later in the 2 months to reduce the likelihood of injury.  Questions about how to ease into running?  Contact devonbarker@fit4mom.com and I'll put you in touch with one of our running coaches!
