Wadsworth Construction Progress Photo

Wadsworth Improvement Project Update

44th Avenue on both sides of Wadsworth Boulevard will experience increased construction activity this month. 44th Avenue will remain open. However, drivers should expect periodic lane closures and traffic shifts on 44th Avenue.

On 44th Avenue west of Wadsworth, private utility relocations will occur first followed by new storm sewer construction. On the east side of Wadsworth at 44th Avenue, the contractor is working on surface improvements for the new continuous flow intersection (CFI). This type of intersection design moves traffic efficiently and reduces the potential for serious collisions by allowing traffic turning left to cross oncoming traffic safely, before entering the intersection and continuing to the destination. More information on CFIs can be found on What's Up Wheat Ridge.

Subscribe to traffic alerts on the city's website. Any community concerns may be directed to the project hotline at 303-390-0878 or email the project team.
