   HAPPY HOLIDAYS, UNT!   
'Tis the season to finish strong! Before wrapping up finals and celebrating commencement, watch this year’s holiday video featuring a special message from President Keller and a performance by the UNT One O'Clock Lab Band. Then, check off your Winter Break to-do list: 
  • For those living in residence halls, remember to unplug appliances, take home essentials and lock your doors before you leave. Residence halls close Friday, Dec. 13, but Winter Break housing is available for those who apply by today. Spring move-in begins Monday, Jan. 6.
  • Dining halls will close next week, so check UNT Dining’s Winter Break hours for more details.
  • Return your rental textbooks by Friday, Dec. 13, to avoid a fee.
  • Bus service will be limited, so monitor UNT Transportation on X for updates.
  • Grades and academic standing will be posted on your transcript by Wednesday, Dec. 18.
  • If you still need to finalize your spring schedule, regular registration ends Jan. 9.

Remember, the Eagle Scholarship Portal is open for the 2025-26 academic year!
Winter Break is the perfect time to get those applications completed and any required essays written. Sign in with your EUID to submit the general application, then explore other scholarship opportunities that may interest you.
UNT graduates at commencement
   OUR GREAT GRADS   
Congratulations, Class of 2024! Commencement begins at 8 a.m. Friday and continues through Sunday, wrapping up with the 10th ceremony at 6 p.m. The College of Music ceremony will take place at the Murchison Performing Arts Center, and all other ceremonies will be in the UNT Coliseum. Be aware that UNT’s Clear Bag Policy and metal detector screenings will be enforced at both venues.

   GRADUATING IN SPRING?   
If you expect to graduate in Spring 2025 (or Summer 2025 and want to participate in the Spring 2025 ceremony), be sure to apply for degree conferral! Undergraduate students must apply by Feb. 15, and graduate students by Feb. 21.

   LOT 7 CLOSURE   
Lot 7, west of Avenue C and north of Sycamore Street, will close Dec. 16, as crews advance work on UNT's new Science and Technology Building. Barricading will begin on Dec. 13, and the lot will remain closed during construction, which is expected to finish by November 2026. Once completed, the site will feature some parking options. In the meantime, Lot 20 is available as an alternative parking location.
Please be mindful of construction and refrain from entering any job site.

   BOWL GAME ALERT   
The Mean Green football team is going bowling in Dallas! After securing a 24-17 victory over Temple Nov. 30, the team earned a spot in a bowl game – its seventh appearance in the last nine years. They will face Texas State in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl on Jan. 3.
First responders receive free tickets to the game. Check Bowl Central for more details to come, including fan gatherings and pregame activities. Get your tickets now before they sell out!
