NOMINATE A PEER FOR:

The Gordon Robbins Academy is a clinic paid for by the Ski & Ride School & the Gordon Robbins Foundation. It is for passionate instructors with a desire to learn and improve. You must be nominated be made by a peer or a supervisor/ manager.

Up to 10 skiers and 10 snowboarders will be selected to slide with a PSIA or AASI educational staff member for free for the day!

APPLY FOR AN EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

At Okemo, we reimburse staff for the successful completion of exams. Awesome, but educational events are really important too. Apply for a scholarship and if awarded, you could use these funds for PSIA-AASI Clinics like:

- Teaching Clinics

- Updates to Stay Current

- Steeps and Trees Clinics

- A premier event like Spring Rally

We have created a Non-Profit Educational Foundation in honor of Gordon Robbins. The purpose of the foundation is to support educational opportunities for people in the Ski & Ride School.

Highlighted March Clinics

Office Hours with Margie King

1-5pm. Come drop in and do an alignment assessment. Look at how your skiing or riding could improve by understanding potential physical roadblocks and exercises or stretches to overcome them.

Freestyle Jam Sunday

1-4pm Afternoon Clinics at Clock Tower. Any discipline, any skill level.

Freestyle Fridays

10am - 4pm freestyle pod based out of Jackson Gore. This group will be focused on coaching freestyle and helping people think about FS accreditations.

Certification Reimbursement

Did you pass an exam? A level 1, 2 or 3? A CS event? An FS event? You can get reimbursed. This process can be star passed the entire exam or accreditation. Not just part of it.

Email Proof of Passing to plnovom@vailresorts.com. This can be a picture of the certificate or scorecard.
Email an invoice to plnovom@vailresorts.com. This can be downloaded from the PSIA/AASI national site (thesnowpros.org).

Did you know you can sign up for training at other Vail Resorts?

You may not know this but you can join training at other Vail Resorts in the company. This means you can slide in a training at Stowe VT, Breckenridge, CO or Seven Springs, PA.

There are a couple of rules to this:

You must sign up in advance using instructors.snow.com.
You must email plnovom@vailresort.com so that I can confirm with the training manager at the intended resort that your sign-up is not a mistake.

3/24 - Snowboard in the Halfpipe with Tom Mulligan - 1 day clinic
3/25-3/26 - In-House Snowboard Adaptive Level 1

3/20 - Alpine Moguls 100, Okemo VT
3/20 - Alpine Moguls 200, Okemo VT
3/20 - Alpine Women's Moguls, Okemo VT
3/22 - Alpine Senior Moguls, Okemo VT
3/22 - Alpine Level 1 Assessment, Okemo VT
3/22 - Alpine Practical Teaching, Okemo VT
3/22 - Alpine Update, Okemo VT

In-House events can be created if there are enough interested participants. For example, if you are interested in a CS1 please email plnovom@vailresorts.com we are already compiling a list.
