Ask me about... "early modern clandestine printing, how religious minorities persevered, or the lives and memories of Tudor-Stuart queens!"
|
I think the most important thing that I do when I teach is... teaching at the U, introducing students to new concepts, or deepening their understanding of the past. Especially when I get to take advantage of all the amazing book studies resources here. The students are always to curious, creative, and excited – who wouldn’t love being their professor?

Hoosier Pie, or 'desperation pie', is a sweet custard filled pie that was made popular in the 19th century when fruit and eggs were scarce commodities.
As simple as combining 1 cup milk, 1 cup granulated sugar, 3 tbsp flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, a pinch of salt, and vanilla extract (to taste). Pour into an 8 inch shell. Pat with butter and bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for one hour or until firm. Enjoy!
