We're seeking a Membership Coordinator for a full-time, remote position. The Coordinator will serve as a primary contact for current and prospective members, providing exceptional customer service and support. They will also support the development of instructional resources, support member onboarding, and contribute to school retention and recruitment efforts. We are looking for a candidate who can start before the end of the school year. If you're passionate about expanding access to speech and debate and helping other coaches make the most of their experience, apply to join our team!

Nominations are open for the Activating Equity Award! We are excited to recognize a group or organization dedicated to building a culture of fairness and access in middle school and high school speech and debate. The winning nomination will receive $5,000 toward their mission and special recognition at the National Tournament.

Teaching Public Speaking with You in a Box Speeches
|
In lesson 21 of Start Here: Teaching Public Speaking, students give a speech with three points represented by three objects that represent themselves—one each for past, present, and future. It must also have an attention getting device, state its purpose in the intro with a point preview, and have a review and tieback in the conclusion. These "You in a Box" speeches will be recorded as they are delivered, then students will be assigned to reflect on their delivery, writing, and overall effect for an additional assessment. All the units in the Start Here series are included with your NSDA membership.
