Jeremy Bellman and Gonzo Araya created Socio to help sourcing professionals, their stakeholders, and suppliers work together as partners – an expression of the passion they have for helping people work better together.
Six years ago, they made a connection during an NGLCC matchmaking event that developed into a relationship with a corporate partner. To cultivate that relationship, they developed a strategy that included regularly scheduled phone calls, targeted emails, and mentorship program participation.

I'm From Driftwod


I’m From Driftwood (IFD) is the brainchild of Founder and Executive Director, Nathan Manske, who recently celebrated the 8th Anniversary of his beloved organization. Manske was inspired after seeing the film “MILK” to do something meaningful in this world. He named his organization “I’m From Driftwood” in a nod to the now famous photograph, in which Milk holds a sign with the message “I’m from Woodmere, NY."

Empire Wealth Strategies, hosted nglccNY's first Women's Book Event. Ingrid Galvez, nglccNY D&I Chair, moderated a panel with three phenomenal business womenJennifer Brown of Jennifer Brown Consulting, Jenn T. Grace of Purpose Driven Publishing and Jessica Choi of Penn Mutual. The evening was filled engaging discussions that created an atmosphere of inclusion, growth and learning.

nglccNY members and friends, NewFest and NYC Pride, partner to create a free font inspired by the design language of the iconic Rainbow Flag, the font was named 'Gilbert' after Mr. Gilbert Baker who passed on March 31, 2017. A preview version of the font can be downloaded for free in the download section.

Now entering its fifth year, NYC Pride and the nglccNY are excited to welcome all to another delicious year. The Pride Luminaries Brunch celebrates business leaders that have made an impact on LGBT equality in the workplace throughout the year. So dress to impress and join industry insiders, media mavens, and proud politicians for what will be the brunch affair of the season. The event has traditionally been held outdoors at The Garden at David Burke Kitchen, surrounded by lush greenery overlooking lower Manhattan.
