Social Studies Spectacular!

Are you Missing the Geography Bee?

Or just want to challenge your social studies students?

The National Geographic GeoBee dissolved in 2021 due to a reduction in registrations during the pandemic.

SCSC is filling that void for your students in grades 5–8 with the Social Studies Spectacular!

Host a School Event

Upon registration, you will receive a study guide and customizable question bank to host a local/school social studies bee (optional). 

You can use this to identify the student(s) advancing to the regional bee at the SCSC Conference Center in North Mankato on May 14.

Registration is open through May 1.

Attend the Regional Event on May 14

Individuals and/or teams of up to five students will compete in various rounds at the regional event including a written exam, team activities and an exciting buzzer round. 

An additional study guide will be sent in early April for the regional event. Items at the regional event may come from the school and/or regional study guides.

Awards will be given for both individual and team achievement.
