For the summer edition, the PMI Grants team visited with Deborah Lannigan, Ph.D.  Dr. Lannigan is Associate Professor or Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology, Associate Professor of Cancer Biology, and Associate Professor of Cell & Developmental Biology.  Here, Dr. Lannigan shares thoughts on her innovative strategy for funding acquisition which lead to two awarded grants!

Submission Deadline Reminder
Due to construction on the 5th floor, please plan to submit proposals transmitted via Coeus (NIH/DoD) no later than the morning of the deadline due date.  We may experience intermittent power outages because of nearby construction and want to ensure no interference occurs with submissions during this time.

Tools for Grant Writing
The VUMC Office of Research website is a valuable resource that includes useable grant text, tips for writing a research project application, and links to additional sources for proposal preparation.

NIH Reminders from OSP
The Office of Sponsored Programs recently posted a reminder regarding non-conformity with NIH application requirements and possible consequences, including application withdrawal during the receipt, referral, and review process.
