Easter Means Resurrection
If you were to ask a random group of people what they think the greatest moment in history is, they would probably list events like the splitting of the atom, the discovery of bacteria, creation of the Polio vaccine, the creation of great works of art such as The David or the Sistine Chapel. You get the idea. We tend to think about things we can see, experience, or remember.
But they all pale in comparison to THE greatest single act in history, the Resurrection of Jesus in which Jesus threw off the bonds of the tomb and death. This was a real, historical event, proven by the touch of his disciples, the many meals that Jesus ate with them, and the conversations held.
But it is not just Jesus that will experience Resurrection. We too, through the power of the Resurrected Christ will also arise, not symbolically in some great end-of-time ascension, but in a real victory over the grave and death. We too will walk out of death in transformed bodies.
