Experience is Coming March 16!

Experience dashboard featuring cards for Financial Aid, Student Self-Service, and General Self-Service

Starting March 16, 2026, students will have a new home base for academic life: Experience.

Experience brings many of the tools you already use into a streamlined, mobile-friendly dashboard within the Banner system, making managing classes, registration, financial aid, and campus life simpler and more connected.

📌 You will register for Fall 2026 classes in Experience!

Registering in Experience for Fall 2026 Classes

For Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 classes, you will register through Experience (not myOleMiss) starting April 13.

Here’s what’s new:

Registration PIN Required
You’ll need a Registration PIN (an access code) from your advisor before registering. Watch your email and save it once you receive it.
Course Numbers Are Changing
Banner uses a new course numbering format. A Banner Course Crosswalk will help you match old course numbers to the new ones as you prepare for Fall registration.

Important:
Summer 2026 registration (including May Intersession and August Intersession) will still take place in myOleMiss. This is the only term when two systems will be used.

Training resources and walkthroughs will be shared before registration opens, so you feel prepared.

A Deeper Dive Into Experience

Instead of jumping between multiple systems, you’ll access key tools in one place via searchable and sortable Cards (interactive tiles that function like apps).

At launch, you’ll see an initial set of cards that allow you to quickly access and manage things like:

Your personal and contact information
Financial aid details
Housing information
Student job resources
Parking permits
Blackboard

Requesting a transcript
Submitting an IT support request
Signing up for a meal plan
Campus tools like the OUT Map
Daily Sudoku (just for fun)

More cards will be added as the system grows!

Stay Better Informed

Experience includes tools to help you stay on top of important deadlines:

Notifications highlight real-time updates (like financial aid changes)
Tasks let you know when action is needed (such as submitting missing documents)
The Calendar shows key academic and campus events at a glance
Announcements appear at the top of your dashboard
