Vaccine Info for SBM Employees

As you’ve hopefully seen in this week’s Coronavirus Updates, below is a quick summary of vaccine offerings (booster and first shots) for Stony Brook Medicine (SBM) employees. And above, in the first section of this Update, is the flu vaccine schedule. Please note that the CDC states that flu and COVID-19 vaccines can be given at the same time.


Limited COVID-19 Vaccine POD Tomorrow (Friday, October 1)

First dose of Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson
Second dose of Pfizer (21 days after first dose)
Booster* (six months from second dose, only for employees who received Pfizer)
 
Walk-ins are welcome but preference will be given to those who are unvaccinated or have made an appointment. Click here to make an appointment.
 
Friday, October 1
8 am – 2 pm
Level 4 of the hospital, Room 4-654C (near the main elevators and just before making the turn to enter into the main Radiology area and the Hospital Pavilion)

*FDA criteria for booster shots includes individuals, such as healthcare workers, with increased risk for COVID-19 exposure; people age 65+; long-term care residents; and individuals with underlying medical conditions 

Vaccines are also available at Stony Brook University’s R&D Park (see schedule below) or your local pharmacy.
