Practicing Persistence
Associate Dean of Students Marta Cady supports students so they can “persist at Puget Sound,” she says. By removing barriers, finding resources, navigating trauma, and educating the campus community about important issues that need work, she hopes students will graduate Puget Sound with not only a stellar education but “a lived experience that helps them feel like they have everything they need to be engaged, active citizens.”

HACKS & CHOPS Clinical Professor of Physical Therapy Robert Boyles was part of a team that published research recently examining whether physical therapists in member nations of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy are authorized to order musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging. It was the first study of its kind and has sparked conversations about the expanding role of physical therapists in the health care industry.

THE DOCTOR IS IN The Tahoma Room in Thomas Hall was hopping Saturday night, when Taiwanese rap artist Dr. T brought down the house during a live performance as part of Taiwan Culture Night. A pioneer of rap music in Taiwan in the late 1990s, Dr. T is a songwriter, music producer, movie director, and popular YouTuber in the Mandarin Chinese community. Check out his YouTube channel.
