Last October, the Department of Information Technology launched an Information Security Awareness Training program to raise awareness about current cybersecurity threats and best practices that can be used to apply safeguards against them. 

The next assignment will be the 2023 Common Threats awareness training, which will show you the latest ways that bad actors can target you by using social engineering techniques, while also providing insight on defensive strategies. This training takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. 

You’ll receive an email notification from the Department of Information Technology with the email ITSecurity@njcu.edu. This will contain instructions on how to access the training.

At NJCU, Commencement provides our students an opportunity to celebrate their academic achievements with family, friends, faculty, alumni, and the entire University community. NJCU’s 2023 Commencement will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. The event is confirmed to begin at 11 a.m. Doors open at 10 a.m., and all guests must be seated by 10:40 a.m. 

In partnership with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, NJCU is hosting the HACU Emerging Leaders’ Summit on June 15, 2023: a one-day virtual event with career development workshops and professional networking with employers in the STEM and business fields.

Two participants will receive a sponsorship to attend the 2023 HACU ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute taking place on October 28-30, 2023 at the Hilton Chicago, Chicago, Illinois (includes event registration, airfare, lodging and some meals).

The NJCU Board of Trustees will hold a regular public meeting on Monday, June 26, 2023. The public session portion of the meeting is expected to begin at 5 p.m.

The NJCU Multi-Style Strings Summer Symposium offers a unique opportunity to explore multi-style string repertoire, nontraditional techniques, different approaches to improvisation, and incorporating technology under the guidance of some of the world's leading multi-style string virtuosos and educators.
